.My blessed life as a mother.

So grateful today, to be a mother!
 My greatest responsibility in life!
I love this role, am passionate about it, & am dedicated to it.
It was my dream since I was young,
a dream I've seen come true.
 It is my JOY!
It exhausts me,
makes me crave some quiet escapes!
Always, I get excited about a brand new day
with theses 5 + their daddy!
Nothing I would rather do, be!
I am blessed!
 Mothers Day, 5.13.2012
Me, along side 5 of my greatest blessings!
Thank you, to my sweetest husband! He is always so good to me!
A gift I will always cherish.
Luke, a secret Artist, did this masterpiece of our family. I love it, especially the detailed shirts that show some favorite things. Dad, Texas Longhorns. Mom, Roxy. Luke, BYU. Zach, Oregon Ducks. Annie, Roxy. Mylie, Roxy. Nick, BYU.

My sweet little Annie wrote this for me. She is much too generous with her words, but my favorite, is the line, "My mom's favorite thing to do is LAUNDRY". Well, I don't know if that is true, but I do happen to do it often. Thanks to my grand & new laundry room, it has made the job much more enjoyable, and through my mothers helpful tips, I must say, Laundry can be exciting and fulfilling!

Mothers Day weekend at Lil Sahara

Early Saturday morn, after a couple of our boys games, we cruised out south.west to a favorite place, Little Sahara. We took in a beautiful weekend of awesome families (Beardalls, Burts, Meyers, Stringhams, & Nixons), 4.wheeling, motorcycles, camping, BBQ, smores, puppies (Kelli's cousin brought, & kids were absolutly in love with), running around, getting dirty, lounging under the big trees in the awesome sand, & just enjoying the simplicity of the great outdoors.

Motherhood advice 101...

A favorite part of the night at Sam's shower,  was when we all sat close in a cozy circle. Sam opened gifts as we all shared our own tid.bit of advice on motherhood! Here's a bit of what was said that night.
LOVED it all!

EnJoy each stage! Don't wish for the next one to come too soon.

Don't compare! Each baby/child/mother is different. Do it your way, and feel good about it.

RELAX, don't stress too much.

Take pictures, videos, keep a journal...hold to the memories. You will forget stuff, but O how great to look back.

Don't worry so much about the details

Learn to improvise & make the bet of it, things won't always go as you want.

Put a smile on your face. EnJoy it. Embrace it.

Count your blessings! It's the simple things that bring the most bliss.

Ask Dad, your husband for some help. Don't feel inadequate because you need help, it's good for those big boys!

EnJoy the simplicity of one child. Take naps, long walks, baths with the lil thing.

Look nice when you go out, even if it is "just to the grocery store". It will make YOU feel good.

Love on these little people. They grow up much too fast!

Don't forget about YOU! Do things that make you happy!

Even if you are just staying home to clean...Put some make.up on and do something with your hair. Any pair of sweats or PJ's can be pulled off well, if the face & hair have been worked on.

Don't forget DAD, your husband! Give him love.appreciation.time! He is working hard and still needs you. Send him texts, notes, emails, pictures while he is at work, and don't forget to give him a kiss when he gets home (maybe not everyday, but everyday you can).

Be FUN with your kids, pull pranks, tickle them, talk a lot, understand them. Then when they are 16, they will talk to you because they have done it their whole life.

Do one on ones's. Even if it is just a quick conversation, game, trip to the store, out for a slurpee, or a extra long snuggle. You both need it.

Let other people help you. Everyone needs to learn to serve and be served.

Keep lovely things in your home. Don't fully baby proof...kids need to learn to respect a home and take care of things.

Keep your house picked up, whether a small apartment or a big house, make it look nice and give it your own little spark. You will be there a lot, so make it a happy place!

JOURNAL. Write things down. Yay for blogging!

A night for SAM & that lil BOY!

Mylie on two wheels!

With Luke getting a new bike for his birthday, we were able to push all bikes down to the next in line, Mys was so excited for the hand.me.down from Annie. She took off quick and has it down. I think the training wheels will be off before we know it!

My crazy obsession with spray paint went into to good use for Annie's bike from Zach. No reason to buy a new bike, just spray paint it!
